So...the other night I found a 14" x 17" pad and drew a string and started tangling. I usually do my tangles on 3.5" x 2.5" ATC cards - I've done a few 5x7 but mostly they are small.
The rest of the pictures are close up images of what I have done so far - in three nights. This first one is a close up of the entire image
The first thing that I drew was the string - I did that in pencil. Then the two large striped "tubes" for lack of a better name.
I worked on some of the background and then decided I really wanted to create a scroll - I've been working on figuring out how for a while and I think I finally figured it out - now if I can do it again that will be another issue. ;-)
I like what I have done so far. I have a long way to go but I love the process.
Yes I think I did it pretty well!
Let me know what you think.
The work is absolutely beautiful very nicely done.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with starting a business.
Gosh how wonderful to see a work in progress like this by some who has really figured out how to do this. So much more than an evening spent reflecting. Would love to see the finished piece will be a follower and hope you will blog it. thank you for sharing with us at LTD this week. xx Zoe

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with the Lotstodo Challenge x Hilda
This is AWESOME!!! I just tried my first one and started VERY small - 2.5" x 4". You've given me lots of hope. And I sort of like the idea of leaving it as a work in progress - it makes people wonder where it will go next! Leave 'em wanting more, right? NICE WORK!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic zentangle! I especially love the contrast between the basket weave and the darker bits. That will look awesome on your wall when complete! xx
ReplyDeletePhew! Breathtaking - the detail is awesome! I really enjoyed doing my first one too but I have renewed inspiration now that I've seen yours! :o) x
